Meagan Drillinger is a travel writer based in New York City. She has been travelling the world professionally since 2009, from Chile to China, Ecuador to India – and many places in between – but it's Mexico that has captured her heart. Top travel memory: “I was solo-cycling through the maze of temples in Old Bagan, Myanmar desperately trying to find the perfect temple to climb in order to watch the sunset. The sun was starting to set and I had yet to find the temple I was looking for. Then, out of nowhere, I met a woman on a motorbike who was on the same journey. We joined forces to find the temple, climbing it just in time to see the sun dip behind the Irrawaddy River. That feeling set the tone and was a metaphor for the rest of my month-long journey through Southeast Asia.”
